Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

We know that starting something new or navigating studio policies can come with questions. That’s why we’ve put together a detailed FAQ section, making it easy to find answers about our classes, schedules, and general studio guidelines.

If you still have questions after checking out the FAQ, we’d love to hear from you! Our team is always happy to assist and will respond as quickly as possible.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact workout for all fitness levels, focusing on core strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It may look small and controlled, but with proper form, it delivers a deep and effective workout.

How long are the classes?

All classes are 50 minutes long.

Can I try a class before committing to a membership?

Yes. We offer an intro class for first-time clients so you can experience a session before committing. You can book any class that fits your schedule. We also offer single drop-in classes and class packs if you’d like to try more sessions before signing up.

What membership options do you offer?

Memberships depend on the studio location and type.
Coeur Memberships include access to Reformer, Chair, and Tower Pilates, though offerings vary by location.
Fortè Memberships include access to Mat Pilates and private training with Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel.
Coeur X Fortè Memberships include access to both Coeur and Fortè locations.
Check our pricing page for full details.

Why can’t I book a class?

Make sure you have an active membership or class credits. If you’re still having trouble, reach out and we’ll help.

Waitlist Policy

If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens, you’ll be automatically added and notified via email or text. Check your schedule regularly, as you may be added overnight. The latest you will be added is one hour before class starts.

Cancellation Policy for Waitlisted Classes

If you are added to a class, the same 12-hour cancellation policy for group classes and 24-hour policy for private sessions applies. If you no longer want the spot, remove yourself at least two hours before class to avoid being automatically added. No-shows and late cancellations will result in a fee and session loss.

Late Cancel or No-Show Policy Exceptions

We do not offer exceptions. If you have a true emergency, cancel yourself online if possible and email us at hello@coeurpilatesoc.com.

Instructor and Schedule Changes

Class schedules may change. We will notify you whenever possible.

Guest Pass

Coeur and Fortè members receive one free guest pass per month. Passes expire at the end of each month and cannot be carried over. Contact us to register your guest. If they late-cancel or do not show up, any applicable fees will be charged to your membership card.

Merchandise Policy

All sales are final.

Do I need to reserve a class, or can I walk in?

We recommend reserving in advance through our website, the Mindbody app, or the Coeur app. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows.

Can I book the studio for a private event?

Yes. We offer private bookings for group classes, team-building events, and special occasions. Contact us at hello@coeurpilatesoc.com for details.

Can I take multiple classes per day?

Yes, depending on your membership or class pack. Unlimited memberships allow one class per day, but you can purchase an extra drop-in at a discounted rate.

Can I switch my membership type?

Yes. You can upgrade at the start of your next billing cycle. Email us to make changes.

Can I share my membership?

No, memberships and class packs are non-transferable.

Class Cancellation Policy

Group classes require a 12-hour cancellation notice. Private sessions require a 24-hour notice. If you are added from the waitlist, the same cancellation policy applies. If you can’t attend, remove yourself to avoid a fee and session loss.

Membership Cancellation

A one-month notice via email is required. Your final payment covers the next billing cycle.

Can I pause my membership?

Yes, for one month per year.

How do I book a class?

You can book classes online through our website, the Mindbody app, or the Coeur app.

Do I need Pilates experience to take a class?

No experience is needed. We welcome all levels. If you’re new, we recommend Reformer at Coeur or Foundations at our Huntington Beach location.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear. Avoid loose clothing that may get in the way during exercises.

Do I need to bring anything?

Grip socks are required for hygiene and safety. You can bring your own or purchase them at the studio.

Can I take both Reformer and Mat Pilates classes?

Yes, if you have a Coeur X Fortè Membership, you can attend both Reformer and Mat classes at different locations.

Do you offer private sessions?

Yes. Private and semi-private training is available at Fortè by Coeur, featuring Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel training.

What time should I arrive for class?

Please arrive at least five minutes early. If it’s your first class, arrive ten minutes early to meet your instructor.

What happens if I’m late?

If you arrive more than five minutes late, you may not be allowed to join for safety reasons.

Do you have a waitlist?

Yes. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens, you’ll be notified via email or text.

Can I bring my child or a guest to watch the class?

Only registered clients are allowed in the studio during class.

Are there any age restrictions?

Clients must be at least 14 years old to take group classes. Private sessions may be available for younger clients upon request.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?

Please inform your instructor before class. If you have serious health concerns, consult your doctor before joining.

Do you offer prenatal or postnatal classes?

We do not offer specific prenatal or postnatal classes, but our classes are suitable for prenatal and postnatal clients. Some instructors have specialized training, so reach out and we can help find the right class for you.

How does billing work?

Memberships are billed monthly on a recurring basis. Your payment date is based on your signup date.

Do you offer refunds?

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on memberships, class packs, or retail items.

What happens if my payment fails?

If your payment fails, you will receive a notification. You will need to update your payment information within three days to avoid membership suspension.

Can I change my payment method?

Yes. You can update your payment details anytime through your Mindbody account.
